Joe Fitzgerald was born in Boston, Massachusetts. But, Joe Fitzgerald grew up in South Florida. Joe Fitzgerald has lived in Broward County since the age of 3.

Joe Fitzgerald attended Boyd Anderson High School in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida.

Joe Fitzgerald's first love was sports. Unfortunately Joe Fitzgerald was far too small to pursue sports as a career, so Joe Fitzgerald turned to his second love, Art. Joe Fitzgerald loves to create. Art was the obvious outlet for this creativity. Joe Fitzgerald started drawing around the age of 13.

After highschool Joe Fitzgerald attended the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. This was a great time in Joe Fitzgerald's life. Joe Fitzgerald was doing what he loved surrounded by people who shared the same creative passion. Joe Fitzgerald thought, "I could do this the rest of my life."

Following his graduation from AIFL, Joe Fitzgerald found it difficult to find rewarding work. The life of a commercial artist is an up at dawn, pride swallowing seige, that Joe Fitzgerald will never fully talk about.

Unfortunatley, there is little time in Joe's life for drawing, these days. But, when he does find the time, he finds it very rewarding.

Joe Fitzgerald enjoys helping people and being part of a team, so what better way to feed these desires than in the Fire Service? Joe Fitzgerald attended the Fire Academy of Broward County. Another fond time in Joe Fitzgerald's life. The Fire Service is a very rewarding job. You get to wear cool gear and work with amazing tools all the while bettering the lot of your fellow man. Joe Fitzgerald thought, "I could do this the rest of my life."

Following his graduation from the Broward Fire Academy, Joe Fitzgerald was discouraged by the lack of opportunity in the Fire Service at that time. Joe Fitzgerald joined the Coral Springs Fire Department as a volunteer. Again this was very rewarding for Joe Fitzgerald. And another time in his life that he looks upon with great fondness. And though Joe Fitzgerald enjoyed the comradery of his fellow Fire Fighters and the rewards that come with helping others, something was missing. To be a Fire Fighter, you can't be half-assed about it. You really have to give it your all. At that time, Joe Fitzgerald, just wasn't able to do that. One day while reading the news paper, Joe Fitzgerald saw an advertisement; "design websites!!" Joe Fitzgerald was intrigued.

Joe Fitzgerald attended Keiser College and took a class in HTML and Web Design. That was 25 years ago. Joe Fitzgerald, found the Internet industry to be in stark contrast to the Commercial Art and Fire Service industries. Interviewing for those type jobs, the interviewers would have the attitude of, why should we hire you? Joe Fitzgerald was just another guy looking for a job, to them. Interviewing for web jobs, however, the interviewers had the attitude of, here is why you should work for us. In fact, employers would call Joe Fitzgerald and tell him why he shouldn't work for other competing companies. "You don't want to work for that guy. He's an a-hole. You'll have a much better time working for us" (true story). Joe Fitzgerald couldn't believe it. It was like Joe Fitzgerald had followed the yellow brick road and found Oz. Joe Fitzgerald thought, "I could do this the rest of my life." Joe Fitzgerald has been doing it ever since. Originally as a Web Designer/Graphics guy, now as a Developer. Development, Joe found, is the best of both worlds. Joe loves creating new software. It's the most rewarding career choice he's ever made.

From a backend development standpoint, Joe Fitzgerald started out with ColdFushion on an Access database (Yes, back then they used Access on the web). Joe Fitzgerald has since moved on to other technologies, including PHP and MySQL.

Currently, Joe Fitzgerald is dabbling in SWIFT, with plans to release a mobile app that will change your life.

Personally, Joe Fitzgerald is the proud father of two children; ages 21 and 18. Joe Fitzgerald loves being a Dad. It's his favorite thing to do.
